My interests have always been quite varied. In my college days I was known to take courses in subjects ranging from Israeli Fiction to Art History, from Political Science to Ornithology, from Environmental Ethics to English. My degree in Conservation Biology and certificate in Environmental Studies left me with a hunger to live in an environmentally-friendly way.
Now that I am a mother of two, and a full-time mother at that, my interests broadened to include parenting topics. I managed to combine my two passions-- the environment and mothering-- into a blog that I author titled "EcoMoms: Doing Our Part for a Healthier Planet." It also serves as a column each month in the newsletter of my local club for mothers.
Writing allows me to continue to contribute in some small way to both furthering my own education and sharing information with others on topics I care about. When I'm not taking care of my small children, writing, or taking photographs (another passion of mine), I am likely to have my nose stuck in a book of the fiction variety.
